For this project we had to find an image and stylise it into pieces. I decided to do a seahorse. I made a small sketch. Then I drew it on a big sheet of paper. I got a piece of styrofoam and traced my picture onto it. Then I had to cut out all the individual pieces. Then I had to sand all the pieces. I painted the background a blue color with white and navy blended in to make it look like water. Instead of painting a basic seahorse I made it an awesome seahorse. I painted it bright colors and designs in it. I faded brown on the bottom of the tail and faded green up the neck. I tried to repeat colors so that it makes your eye go all around the painting. I really liked this project. It turned out amazing. The poly added the extra shine to it that it needed.
