For the Clay O'Clock project, we didn't really use an artist for our inspiration. This project was more of a do what you want kind of project as long as you can fit a clock piece in it. At first I was going to do a sun, but another person in my class did that. Instead, I chose to do a big circular clock. I've seen really pretty clocks with flowers on them, so I made roses and put them along about half of the edge. Then I used the hand held extruder to make some stringy grass. Then very carefully I slipped and scored the grass along the edge of the grass where my flowers were going to go. After that I placed the roses on top of the grass. While it was drying it cracked along one side. After it was fired I selectively glazed it and pit fired it. I used string to lace up the crack. Then I had to put the clock piece with the hands together and attach it to the back of my clock. Finally I painted the numbers on.
